What does it mean to give like Jesus, and to give with all we are?
This Week's Sermon: TithingPastor Sam Gyorfi | 5/5/2024
Psalm 112:1-51Â
Praise the Lord. Blessed are those who fear the Lord,   Â
who find great delight in his commands.
2 Their children will be mighty in the land;   Â
the generation of the upright will be blessed.
3 Wealth and riches are in their houses,   Â
and their righteousness endures forever.
4 Even in darkness light dawns for the upright,   Â
for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous.
5 Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely,   Â
who conduct their affairs with justice.
Matthew 23:23-24
“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices—mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former. 24 You blind guides! You strain out a gnat but swallow a camel.
Theme:Â What does the Bible say about giving our tithes? What is our posture in giving? And why is it so hard to talk about money? Teaching and testimonies about tithing.Â
Living as Jesus did.
At our core, we are passionate, engaged, and willing. What we do certainly involves Sunday worship, but it’s also about worship all week long in the form of discipleship, service, fellowship, and care.
